Your B&B Hosts

Paul and Fran were vacationing in Ithaca and the Finger Lakes Region and they happened to come across the most peaceful B&B they had ever stayed at. It was charming, rustic, surrounded with nature… and for sale! Five months later they were moved in and never happier.

Paul was born and raised outside of Toronto. He went to George Brown College to study culinary arts and baking. He traveled his way around Australia, Canada, the U.S. and parts of Southeast Asia often cooking and baking to support himself along the way. He came to Maryland to visit his brother and met Fran. A wife and four children later, he is your happy bed and breakfast host and chef.

Fran was born and raised in Maryland, the youngest of seven girls. She studied at the University of Maryland and then spent the next decade teaching adapted physical education. After marrying Paul and moving to Turtle Dreams, she worked as a part time student activities coordinator at Ithaca High School before taking the plunge into full time motherhood, self-employment and and graduate school. She is currently working on her master's in outdoor and environmental education at SUNY Cortland. Fran is delighted to be your bed and breakfast hostess.

The four Turtle children welcome you too and especially love when there are “kid guests.” You will find yourselves with plenty of guides to show you around if you have any questions or just want some company when you go to see the farm animals, gardens or blackberry bushes!

Our dogs Osage and Sushi; our cats Spot, Bandito and Taco; our goats Snowflake and Thunderbolt and our chickens, fish and pet frog all want to stand up and be recognized as part of the gang!
