Policies / "The Scoop"

  • Check-in Time: between 3:00 pm and 11:00 pm.  If you could let us know an approximate time you expect to arrive or call if you are going to need a late check-in that would be great! 
  • Checkout Time: 11:00 am unless otherwise arranged.
  • All rates must add 11% NY room/sales tax.
  • We maintain a smoke-free environment inside the house; the front porch has an ashtray and may be used for smoking.   
  • Children of all ages are welcome but need to be properly supervised at all times to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.  We are happy to offer baby holding or playtime for your little ones while you are eating breakfast, packing the car, etc.  We also offer childcare for an additional fee so that you can go out for a date while you are here.
  • Dogs are welcome to stay in our bed and breakfast with advance notice.  Dogs must go with you when you go out unless a mutually satisfactory arrangement can be made in advance. 
  • A full delicious breakfast is included with the room rate and is served hot daily at a mutually agreed upon time between the hours of 7:30 am and 10:30 am.  Please honor the time you’ve chosen, as we want to serve your breakfast to you at its hottest and freshest!   If you are an early bird or would like to sleep in, a continental breakfast of cereal, toast or muffins, coffee/tea and juice could be arranged on request.  If you are vegetarian, vegan or have any allergies or other food requirements, please let us know in advance of your stay.                
  • The Great Room is open for guest use from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.   We ask that everyone observe the quiet time zone of 10:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.
  • Please remove muddy or wet shoes upon entering the house.

How to Make Reservations

Reservation requests may be made via email and phone. Please call between 8 am and 10 pm, as Turtle Dreams is also our home. Leave a detailed message if we are unavailable to answer your call and we will get back to you ASAP.  A MasterCard or Visa number will secure your reservation.

We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard for payment.  Ask us about our barter/WWOOF opportunities.

Cancellations

In the event your plans change after the reservation is made:

You will not be held responsible for the cost of the intended stay if canceled with at least ten days notice.

Within 10 days of the arrival date, rain checks rather than refunds are available.  You are responsible for the full cost of the intended stay but we will send an e-coupon for a future visit.

If you do not give any notice and do not show up for the intended stay, you are responsible for the full cost of the nights reserved with no rain check offered.

No refunds are given for early departures; however, we may be able to issue a rain check for a future stay.

Cornell Graduation Weekend/Memorial Weekend Payment and Refund Policies

All quoted rates do not include 11% NY room and sales tax.

Full amount is to be paid in advance; one half is due upon reservation of stay and the other half will be due by January 1st of the year of your intended stay. 

Cornell Graduation weekend reservations are non-refundable after January 1st of the year of your intended stay.
